The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company against financial losses due to theft and fraud, while also ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs. This position is vital for maintaining security in the assigned store or multiple stores.
Key Responsibilities
Employing various tools and techniques to minimize company losses, including identifying theft and fraud incidents.
Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports to analyze potential risks.
Monitoring the physical security of the store and auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
Fostering a culture focused on reducing shrinkage in the store.
Preparing accurate and detailed case reports to document apprehensions and recoveries.
Preserving evidence and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.
Testifying in criminal and civil court actions as required.
Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
Carrying out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the company.
Exhibiting integrity and professionalism at all times while addressing asset protection and operational concerns.
