Summary Atomic Kid Studios is seeking a
Motion Graphics Animator (3–5 years experience) to join our Milford, CT studio.
This role begins as a
3–6 month in-house contract engagement , with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance and studio needs.
We’re looking for a design‑minded animator who can bring polish, momentum, and strong storytelling instincts to a wide range of projects — from product launches and explainer videos to keynote presentations and brand content.

What You’ll Do Craft & Execution
Design and animate high-quality motion graphics that elevate the studio’s creative standards
Blend digital design, illustration, 3D elements, photo/video footage, and voice‑over recordings into cohesive narratives
Develop storyboards and keyframes to articulate concepts clearly
Handle projects from concept through final render
Work closely with Creative Leads and Producers
Coordinate with internal and external contributors as needed
Take direction well while also contributing thoughtful ideas
Ownership & Organization
Manage time accurately across multiple concurrent projects
Maintain organized project files and image libraries
Adapt professionally to fast‑moving deadlines and client feedback
Qualifications
3–5 years professional motion design / animation experience
Strong understanding of animation fundamentals (timing, composition, weight, movement)
Required proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator; Audition a plus)
Experience integrating voice‑over, music, and sound design
Working knowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar 3D tools (Blender)
Comfortable working in a Mac‑based studio environment
Strong digital design and layout skills for storyboarding and keyframes
Excellent communication and time management skills
Skills that separate you from the pack
Building web‑friendly, and dynamic animated content in
Rive
Familiarity with
AI based creative tools
(Midjourney, Firefly, and Runway)
Experience with
Cinema 4D
and common plugins (X-Particles, Mocha, Red Giant / Universe, AEScripts)
Unity or Unreal Engine experience
Illustration (digital or mixed media)
Work Structure
This is an in‑house position based in Milford, CT, working side‑by‑side with our team during standard studio hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, excluding company holidays)
A dedicated in‑studio workspace will be provided, including a fully equipped Mac workstation with display, keyboard, mouse and raid storage
Initial contract engagement of 3–6 months
Opportunity to transition to full‑time employment based on performance and studio needs
Benefits (Upon Full‑Time Employment)
401(k) with up to 3% employer match (after 60 days of full‑time employment)
