Direct access to and partnership with the CEO of a statewide organization Opportunity to shape the public narrative around the real estate industry in Georgia Highly visible role responsible for building media relationships and expanding brand awareness across the state Strategic position with autonomy to proactively generate media opportunities and coverage What You’ll Own

Serve as the primary media contact and manage day-to-day relationships with local, regional, and statewide journalists Proactively pitch stories and identify opportunities to position the organization as a trusted voice in housing and real estate topics Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy that increases visibility and reinforces the organization’s mission Turn existing initiatives, research, and events into meaningful media coverage and storytelling opportunities Ensure consistent messaging across senior leadership by coordinating talking points and communication guidance Monitor media coverage and measure the effectiveness of public relations efforts Support external communications initiatives including press releases, statements, and public messaging Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment of messaging and communication efforts across the organization Must-Haves

Demonstrated experience in public relations, media relations, or strategic communications Proven ability to proactively pitch stories and generate earned media coverage Strong relationships with journalists or experience regularly working with media outlets Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills Ability to manage messaging across multiple leaders or stakeholders Nice to Have

Experience working with a statewide organization, nonprofit, or industry association Familiarity with the Georgia media landscape Background in communications related to real estate, business, policy, or economic development Experience with media monitoring, PR analytics, or communications software tools
