Associate Technical Sales Engineer Composed of Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses, Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, we create electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies.

The Role: The Inside Sales Engineer will provide technical sales support to Customers and Field Sales Engineers. As the Inside Sales Engineer, you will offer application assistance and identify cost‑effective solutions for their heating and temperature control requirements. Additionally, you will troubleshoot customer applications, make product recommendations, expedite orders, and work with CSRs (Customer Service Representatives) to enter orders, process Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests, as required to provide internal and external customers with the best possible customer service.

Your Responsibilities:

Partner with our Outside Sales Engineers, optimizing profitable sales and growth.

Collaborate with our Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Manufacturing to help resolve technical or pricing issues in the proposal stages.

Assist in fulfilling customer needs through leadership, coordination, and liaison among Field Sales, Customers, and the appropriate Sales Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

Qualify and manage leads (phone, email, CRM).

Prepare technical assistance and price proposals.

Configure and propose standard and custom thermal systems and work with Sales Engineering on cost estimates for special circumstances.

Determine competitive request pricing through proper channels.

Assist in the planning and execution of sales and marketing strategy.

Communicate daily with customers and field sales engineers about all business activities.

Manage CRM data as required by leadership.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or in a related field.

1+ years previous experience in customer service, sales or in a similar role.

1+ years customer service or customer facing‑like experience.

Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

Be self‑motivated, driven, flexible and adaptable to complete assigned tasks; results driven.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional business environment verbally, electronically and written.

Highly organized and detail oriented.

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
