About the Role As a Senior Strategist, you will lead projects spanning early‑stage strategic insight, sensory‑powered innovation, strategic framing, cultural and semiotic intelligence, and brand storytelling. You'll conduct in‑depth analysis, write strategic reports, help facilitate ideation sprints, co‑create new product ideas with consumers, identify emerging category and cultural trends, craft compelling narratives, and develop strategic recommendations to grow our client’s brands.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct analysis across a range of sources including quantitative data, qualitative focus groups, interviews and ethnographies to uncover new insights and synthesize impactful, actionable strategies.

Collaborate with the team to design and lead sections of co‑creation and ideation workshops with clients, building sensorially charged innovation pipelines.

Lead the development, writing, and direct the visualization of new product concepts that translate strategic insights into actionable innovation.

Conduct desk research and semiotic analysis into trends, competitive landscapes, cultural shifts, and innovations across global food and beverage.

Carry out primary and secondary research (partnering with the wider business) to support strategic investigations and trend analysis – this includes writing research guides, facilitating focus groups, and leading in-depth interviews, and designing online community engagement tasks.

Synthesize learnings into insight‑driven reports and strategic narratives that distill complex data into clear recommendations.

Present insights in visually engaging ways to senior stakeholders.

Unearth unexpected truths and challenge conventional thinking through fresh perspectives.

Apply Huxly’s sensational design thinking principles to frame problems, generate ideas, and bring solutions to life sensorially.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a rare blend of analytical sharpness and creative synthesis—skilled at mining data and research for breakthrough human truths and shaping them into compelling narratives that inspire bold brand innovation.

2–3 years’ experience in a top‑tier CPG company, semiotics agency, innovation agency, brand consultancy, or related strategy role.

Background in semiotics, culture, marketing, branding, product management, journalism, psychology, design, social sciences, or qualitative research.

Exceptional analytical and synthesis skills - able to interrogate a complex of information sources and develop compelling narratives to grow our client’s brands.

Excellent writing skills and experience with structuring and communicating insight‑led written arguments.

Strong analytical thinking and investigative instincts.

Confident presenting to executive‑level audiences and in large groups with audience engagement.
