The Annual Fund & Donor Growth Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and serves as a strategic partner in strengthening and expanding Second Heart Homes’ fundraising engine.

This role drives donor segmentation, annual fund execution, growth-level donor cultivation, and pipeline development. In close collaboration with the Executive Director, the manager executes campaigns, advances donor relationships, conducts meetings, and makes direct solicitations while building the systems and structure necessary for sustained revenue growth.

Administrative support is provided to allow this role to remain focused on revenue-generating activity.

Second Heart Homes has built a strong base of committed donors and community supporters, providing a solid foundation for continued expansion. This position is designed to grow in responsibility as the Development Department expands. The Annual Fund & Donor Growth Manager is expected to build and steward a mid-level and annual fund portfolio that generates approximately $300,000 in new annual revenue.

We serve over 80 men and women across 13 homes and growing, restoring dignity through housing, support, and love. We operate entirely without government funding.

Compensation

Starting salary of $75,000+, commensurate with experience, with structured performance-based growth opportunity

Core Responsibilities

Lead donor segmentation strategy within the CRM and email marketing software.

Audit, qualify, and strategically segment the donor database with defined cultivation plans.

Develop upgrade pathways based on giving behavior and capacity.

Strengthen messaging and campaign content aligned with organizational voice.

Manage and grow the existing portfolio of donors.

Actively conduct donor meetings, calls, and in-person visits.

Make direct solicitations and secure upgrades into $5,000+ giving.

Increase recurring and multi-year commitments.

Qualify higher capacity donors for the Executive Director to cultivate.

Stewardship responsibilities associated with portfolio management.

Grants & Events

Collaborate with the Executive Director on non-governmental grant procurement and reporting, as part of the broader fundraising strategy.

Support planning and execution of key cultivation and fundraising events.

Clear and qualified pipeline of $20,000+ prospects

Organized, segmented, and strategically managed donor database

Consistent, high-quality donor communications

Qualifications

3+ years of fundraising experience

Excellent written and verbal skills

Fantastic storytelling abilities

Demonstrated success in donor solicitation and upgrades

Strong CRM segmentation and data management skills

Strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution

High accountability and initiative

Clear movement of donors through the upgrade pipeline

Timely and strategic follow-up on all donor activity
