Position Summary

Tennant is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Cybersecurity Manager to lead its enterprise cybersecurity program. This role has responsibility for defining, executing, and continuously improving the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and operational capabilities to protect Tennant’s information systems, networks and data from evolving cyber threats.

The Senior Cybersecurity Manager is a trusted leader and advisor who partners closely with IT leadership, risk management, business continuity teams and other stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity is effectively aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, enterprise‑wide cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.

Oversee cybersecurity operations to safeguard organizational assets, systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, breaches, and unauthorized access.

Track, monitor, and report on the status and effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives and controls.

Regularly communicate cybersecurity strategy, risks, progress, and issues to senior IT leadership and key stakeholders.

Collaborate with IT, risk management, and business continuity teams to ensure coordinated and effective security practices across the organization.

Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure continuous improvement of Tennant’s cybersecurity posture.

Build and revitalize governance programs to establish clear security oversight and accountability.

Closed audit findings within resistant or complex organizational environments through persistence, influence, and structured remediation.

Implement and maintain exception‑management frameworks to ensure consistent, risk‑based decision‑making.

Establish formal risk‑acceptance processes aligned with organizational tolerance and regulatory expectations.

Expectations:

Acts as the primary owner of the cybersecurity program, with accountability for outcomes and risk reduction.

Operates with enterprise‑wide influence, balancing security, business enablement and operational resilience.

Serves as a senior point of escalation for significant cybersecurity risks and incidents.

Shapes long‑term cybersecurity strategy in partnership with senior IT leadership.

Navigate complex organizational environments with persistence, influence and structured remediation.

Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree or minimum of 12 years of relevant experience

Advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent preferred.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices across enterprise environments.

Experience:

Significant experience leading or managing enterprise cybersecurity programs.

Working technical knowledge of CrowdStrike EDR solutions.

Experience in MDR and XDR solutions.

Familiarity with standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001 or ISA/IEC 62443

Demonstrated success developing and executing cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps.

Experience collaborating with senior IT leaders, risk management and business stakeholders.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to manage our client's global Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program and Manufacturing/Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity initiatives. This role is responsible for leading the implementation and support of security capabilities and technologies across our manufacturing sites worldwide, as well as continuously updating and enhancing our cybersecurity strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Program Development:
- Develop a risk-based cybersecurity program that meets regulatory requirements and aligns with industry-leading information security practices.
- Advance the cyber threat and vulnerability management program to ensure consistent identification, analysis, response, and monitoring of security threats, events, and vulnerabilities.
Security Technology Implementation:
- Lead the implementation and support of security capabilities for manufacturing sites globally.
- Integrate cybersecurity toolsets to enable automated discovery, remediation, and alerting of network and device vulnerabilities.
- Utilize IT and OT tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Lansweeper, Dragos, Nozomi, ClarOTy, Forescout, Armis, etc.) with a preference for experience in Armis.
Threat and Risk Management:
- Perform threat identification and mitigation activities using advanced security controls and tools.
- Assess threats to the business and deploy effective countermeasures.
- Perform analysis of emerging technologies and design architectures to enable the secure implementation of new technologies.
- Assess cybersecurity incidents to identify root causes, respond, and recover the environment.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Independently interface with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and third-party vendors.
- Provide clear and effective communication of technical outputs and advanced security concepts.
- Facilitate cross-team coordination to achieve defined security goals and support detailed implementation plans for cybersecurity projects.
Project and Budget Management:
- Manage cybersecurity projects to ensure timely, on-budget, and effective implementation of improvements.
- Develop strategies, policies, and standards to protect company information and technology assets.
- Manage capital and operational expense budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and administration.
- Generate comprehensive documentation and reports detailing security incidents, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent certifications.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience, with 7+ years preferred.
- Proven expertise in implementing industry standards such as ISO 27001/2, SOC 2, HITRUST, FedRAMP, and ISO 22301.
- Experience with the implementation and operational use of GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) toolsets.
Skills:
- Strong data analysis and asset management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IT/networking and OT systems.
- Prior experience with asset/network discovery tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Lansweeper, Dragos, Nozomi, ClarOTy, Forescout, Armis, etc.); experience with Armis is preferred.
