Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What You’ll Do

Be a Team Leader – Supervise the team in Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club, communicate the goals of the department, execute company programs, adhere to policies and advocate for the member, associate, and the company, and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the members' expectations.

Be an Expert – Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business on the floor backroom operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance; manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes and prioritizing time between areas; collaborate with associates to ensure the team has resources to do their job effectively, sharing knowledge and training the team.

Be a Techie – Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; utilize hand‑held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality and adopt new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner – Drive the business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a neat, clean and safe work area for the team and the members; maintain adequate staffing levels, accurate audit and compliance standards, produce and display merchandise according to the merchandise layout plan, and model a commitment to member service.

Be a Talent Ambassador – Teach and train the team to be highly effective; identify the potential and desire in others, provide and develop necessary skills to deliver high quality products; encourage career growth for all associates, source new talent internally and externally; develop, communicate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners, analyze and apply information, monitor progress and results, identify and address improvement opportunities; demonstrate, promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information and tools to determine customer needs and business priorities, coordinate and execute work assignments, provide advice, feedback and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved, and model help others adapt to change or new challenges; respect individuals, embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected; build strong and trusting relationships; strengthen the team by developing, mentoring, recognizing contributions and accomplishments; act with integrity; serve our customers and members by making decisions based on reliable information, balancing short and long‑term priorities and considering how own work impacts the team’s ability to deliver on purpose; strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, desire to learn, taking calculated risks, demonstrating courage and resilience, driving continuous improvements, using new technologies and skills, and supporting others through change.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*.

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.

I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
