Position Summary The DAM Lead is responsible for the overall governance, administration, and continuous improvement of Enovis’ enterprise digital asset management platform. This role partners closely with marketing, creative, product, legal, and IT teams to ensure digital assets are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle and integrated with the broader marketing technology ecosystem. The role also establishes global standards for asset organization, metadata, permissions, and workflows to support efficient content operations and brand consistency. Success in this role requires both strategic leadership and hands‑on platform management, with a focus on building scalable governance frameworks and improving asset accessibility and reuse across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise DAM Strategy & Governance

Develop and lead the strategy for Enovis’ enterprise digital asset management ecosystem.

Establish governance frameworks, operational standards, and best practices that guide how assets are created, managed, distributed, and retired across global teams.

Ensure consistent brand asset governance and asset usage standards across regions and business units.

Partner with marketing leadership to align the DAM platform with global content operations, marketing campaigns, and product launches.

Metadata Architecture & Taxonomy

Design and maintain the enterprise metadata architecture and taxonomy that supports scalable asset organization and discoverability.

Develop controlled vocabularies, tagging standards, and metadata schemas that ensure assets are consistently categorized and searchable.

Continuously evaluate and refine metadata standards and search functionality to improve asset discoverability and usability.

Asset Lifecycle Governance

Define and manage policies governing the full lifecycle of digital assets, from ingestion and approval through distribution, archival, and retirement.

Establish standards for asset versioning, expiration, retention, and archival.

Ensure assets entering the DAM meet required metadata, quality, and governance standards.

DAM Platform Management

Administer and optimize the Acquia (Widen) DAM platform, including configuration, permissions, and user management.

Monitor system performance and platform usage to ensure reliability and usability.

Evaluate and implement new platform features that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Workflow & Process Optimization

Design scalable workflows that support asset creation, review, approval, and distribution.

Collaborate with marketing, creative, and product teams to streamline asset production and campaign workflows.

Identify process improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce duplication across teams.

System Integrations

Define requirements for integrations between the DAM platform and other enterprise systems, including:

Content management systems (CMS)

Marketing automation platforms

Creative production tools

Product information management systems

Partner with IT and digital teams to implement and maintain API‑based integrations that support automated asset workflows.

Digital Rights & Compliance

Oversee digital rights management, licensing, and asset usage policies.

Ensure assets meet regulatory and legal requirements, including copyright, brand usage standards, and healthcare marketing regulations.

Support compliance with applicable global privacy and governance standards, including GDPR and related regulations.

Adoption, Training & Change Management

Drive global adoption of the DAM platform across marketing, creative, and product teams.

Develop training programs, documentation, and best‑practice guidelines to support effective DAM use.

Serve as the internal subject matter expert and advocate for digital asset management governance and best practices.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

Monitor asset usage, adoption, and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of the DAM program.

Provide insights that inform content strategy and asset development.

Identify opportunities to improve the DAM ecosystem through workflow enhancements, automation, and AI‑assisted tagging capabilities.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience managing enterprise Digital Asset Management platforms

Proven expertise in administering Acquia (Widen) DAM or comparable enterprise DAM platforms

Experience designing metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and DAM governance frameworks

Strong understanding of digital asset lifecycle management and creative production workflows

Experience supporting global marketing and creative teams

Knowledge of digital rights management, licensing, and asset compliance

Strong analytical, organizational, and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within medical device, healthcare, or regulated industries

Experience integrating DAM with CMS, marketing automation platforms, and creative tools

Familiarity with API‑based DAM integrations

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud workflows

Experience implementing AI‑powered tagging or asset automation

Background in information architecture, digital librarianship, or content operations
