Senior Staff Content Designer - Quickbooks Live Experts
Intuit Inc., Mountain View, CA, United States
QuickBooks Live connects millions of small business owners with real, credentialed experts at the moment it matters most, transforming what can feel like an overwhelming financial burden into a confident, guided experience. The words, tone, and content systems that shape these interactions determine whether customers feel guided and understood, or confused and alone.
We are seeking a
Senior Staff Content Designer
to shape the voice, content strategy, and information architecture of QuickBooks Live. This is a high‑craft, systems‑oriented role working at the intersection of AI and human expertise, focused on defining content experiences that are clear, trustworthy, and deeply useful across the entire Live ecosystem. You will partner across teams to ensure AI‑assisted and expert‑led experiences speak with one voice, raising the content quality bar at every touchpoint.
In this role you will be defining how language, structure, and content systems work together to establish what ‘great’ sounds like when real people’s finances are on the line, and you will be establishing AI‑enabled processes that help the team scale.
Responsibilities Strategic Content Leadership
Define and own content strategy across multiple product areas and domains within the Live ecosystem
Identify high‑leverage content opportunities, the moments where clarity, tone, or structure, when improved, elevate entire workflows
Establish voice, tone, and content principles that guide decision‑making across teams and persist beyond any single project
Drive multi‑quarter or multi‑year content strategy that balances near‑term business goals with long‑term trust and coherence
Align senior Product, Design, and Engineering leaders around a shared content vision, translating complexity into clear direction
Craft Excellence & Content Systems
Elevate writing quality, information architecture, and content structure across multiple domains
Lead large, ambiguous content explorations that span multiple teams and require deep systems thinking
Define and evolve shared content standards, patterns, and accessibility guidelines across the Live ecosystem
Reduce fragmentation and content debt across product surfaces by identifying patterns and establishing scalable solutions
Advocate and implement AI‑first workflows and tools that improve how the Live content team creates, scales, and delivers work, developing best practices and enabling others to adopt them
Balance innovation with the long‑term clarity and trust that small business owners place in QuickBooks
Data Fluency & Informed Decision‑Making
Use analytics, research, and qualitative insights to identify strategic content opportunities and validate direction
Connect content investments to measurable customer and business outcomes, articulating the ‘why’ behind strategic choices
Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, and Compliance to ensure content is accurate, scalable, and responsible
Drive thoughtful AI‑assisted and AI‑native content patterns that feel human and trustworthy, not automated
Lead conversations on how data should inform content decisions, surfacing insights that others might miss
Influence & Organizational Impact
Communicate cross‑domain content strategy clearly to senior stakeholders through compelling narratives and frameworks
Influence decision‑making at the Director and VP level through clarity of thought and strength of craft
Lead large cross‑functional initiatives requiring alignment across product, engineering, design, legal, and business organizations
Mentor Staff and Senior Content Designers, elevating their strategic thinking, craft rigor, and AI fluency
Champion AI‑enabled content design processes across the Live team, from prompt engineering and content generation to quality evaluation and workflow efficiency
Strengthen content practices and quality standards across teams, coaching product designers on effective AI writing tools and responsible content best practices
Qualifications What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience in content design or a related field, with demonstrated impact at scale
Proven experience shaping cross‑domain content strategy, not just executing within a single area
Deep expertise in voice and tone, information architecture, content systems, and accessibility
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance content workflows, drive efficiency, and scale team impact, including experience with prompt engineering and AI‑assisted content evaluation
Strong strategic judgment and systems thinking, ability to see connections and downstream implications
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align multiple teams around a shared vision
A portfolio showing both strategic content deliverables and polished execution across complex product experiences, including AI‑assisted workflows
