We are seeking a candidate for a full‑time Marketing Coordinator to join the Communications Team. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and enthusiastic about our work and comes with relevant experience in the AEC industry. This role is a collaborative, hands‑on contributor across an array of Marketing and Communications activities, with a primary focus on tracking marketing needs and opportunities, and coordinating the execution of various outputs and events. This is a full‑time role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a flexible, collaborative firm, and our staff works in‑office Monday through Thursday (Friday optional). You must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and available to work onsite in San Francisco/Oakland and attend local events.
Responsibilities Project Management
Serve as project manager for the Communications Department, proactively tracking and advancing content and collateral development and events
Facilitate transition to a new task management platform
Maintain task tracking platform and calendar
Marketing Collateral
Coordinate content development needs for marketing assets, with the input and collaboration of design staff
Maintain an updated library of marketing collateral assets (brochures, resumes, etc.)
Execute internal and external marketing‑related communications
Manage execution of social media efforts with an external social media consultant
Comfortably work within established InDesign templates to create or update documents requiring basic layout (awards submissions, press kits, proposals)
Website Management
Build out website content, working within CMS (content management system)
Track and meet website content management needs
Event Coordination and Support
Lead logistics and documentation needs for periodic events in the Bay Area (tours, talks, office culture events)
Help plan and participate on‑site in occasional professional photo shoots of completed buildings.
Minimum Requirements
3-5 years related professional experience in marketing and communications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Highly organized and proactive, with strong executive function, ability to take ownership of projects, and follow through
Proficiency with Adobe InDesign (minimum 1-year professional or academic experience; ability to work within templates and make quick, basic graphic decisions)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Interest and curiosity about architecture, housing, and community design
Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, able to work on location (offices and event sites)
Schedule flexibility for occasional evening events
Strong professional references
Preferred
Formal training in communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, and/or advertising
Experience in the A/E/C industry
Comfort and ability to write clearly in a professional voice; copyediting and proofreading skills
Comfort and ability with smartphone photography and video; knowledge of best practices in documentation for social media
