Senior Building Enclosures Consultant
for our
NY

We are looking for a new team member to help manage and consult on projects within Building Enclosures team. We are a growing team that is on the lookout for talent, teamwork, and fresh ideas to continue helping our clients with their needs and driving our practice forward. We have a high volume of NYC FISP projects, new design consulting, and restoration, and renewal projects. Come join us and help shape the future! Your Impact
Conduct FISP inspections and preparation of compliance sets
Assist project teams with completing building enclosure design reviews.
Assist project teams with completing building enclosure design drawings and specifications.
Review fenestration, vertical facade, roofing systems, and waterproofing.
Assist with performing technical reviews.
Provide support in completing on-site forensic investigations.
Assist with conducting functional performance testing of enclosure systems.
Perform on-site construction observations.

Who You Are Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related discipline.
5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior enclosures, façade design, and sustainability experience.
2 + years as a person directly involved with managing FISP projects
Professional Licensure/Certification.
Experience in quality control and management is required.
Highly familiar with building materials and construction processes for design, construction, and/or repair of building enclosures, façades, waterproofing, cladding systems, roofs, parking structure, and the application to project work-related issues.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with discipline-specific design software (WUFI, THERM, energy modeling).
Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups.
Extensive and successful business development experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Willing and able to travel
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree is preferred in one of the above-listed disciplines.
QEWI in NYC, or on a path to QEWI
Knowledge of third-party green building rating systems (LEED, Passive House, LBC, WELL, or related).
Experience with building enclosure commissioning
Proficiency in discipline-specific design software (i.e., WUFI, THERM, energy modeling)

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $103,300 - $140,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
