We are on the lookout for a Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our talented purchasing team.\nResponsibilities

Prepare, review, and validate import and export documentation to ensure compliance with CBP, BIS, and other governmental regulations.\nDetermine correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, duty rates, and country-of-origin designations for all imported and exported products.\nCoordinate and monitor customs clearance with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to prevent delays and ensure process accuracy.\nMaintain internal systems and databases with up-to-date tariff codes, trade program eligibility, and regulatory classifications.\nConduct audits of customs entries, broker performance, and documentation accuracy to mitigate compliance risks.\nIdentify and resolve discrepancies related to valuation, origin, classification, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport compliance with trade programs such as USMCA, duty drawbacks, preferential duty treatments, country of origin, manufacturing affidavits, and surety bonds.\nRespond to internal inquiries regarding import/export regulations, documentation needs, and classification determinations.\nMonitor changes to global trade regulations, tariff schedules, and compliance requirements and communicate impacts to stakeholders.\nReconcile entry summaries as well as update material percentages and customer pricing.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional Duties

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and trade compliance functions.\nAssist in training internal teams on customs requirements and compliance procedures.\nParticipate in system enhancements or ERP module integrations related to trade and customs.\nProvide support for special projects related to new product introductions or supplier transitions.\nCollaborate with other business units located in China, Thailand, and the Philippines on specific regulatory issues.\nQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, International Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.\n3–5 years of experience in customs compliance, import/export operations, or international logistics.\nExperience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and global trade systems (e.g., ACE, AES, or similar).\nCertified Customs Specialist (CCS) required.\nTrade Compliance credentials (CTSC and ECoP) preferred.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, HTS classification principles, Incoterms, and basic valuation/origin rules.\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.\nProficiency with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).\nExperience with trade compliance software a plus.\nExcellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret regulatory guidelines.\nStrong communication and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot complex documentation issues.\nPhysical Demands
