Graphic Designer (Onsite)

We are looking for a Graphic Designer who can create compelling, high-quality materials that support both internal communication and external messaging. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, collaborative, and excited to contribute to a wide variety of design projects that make an impact across the organization.

What You'll Do Design and Visual Communication

Promote and maintain the Dayton Freight brand image and visual identity across all design work

Understand and design for both internal audiences and external customers

Create a variety of print designs for internal departments and external customers

Design and produce the quarterly company newsletter

Develop artwork and visual content for social media, email campaigns, recruiting advertisements, digital communication boards, internal and external websites, and company presentations

Assist with photography and video projects when needed

Collaboration and Internal Support

Collaborate with colleagues to support company initiatives and marketing requests

Support internal departments including sales, safety, employee relations, and operations with design needs

Project and Process Management

Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, meet deadlines, and stay within budget

Manage print requests through the Print on Demand application

Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and creative knowledge

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field

3+ years of professional, related experience

Proficiency in Adobe Software - InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, more is a plus!

Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and brand consistency

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to adapt designs for both print and digital platforms

Portfolio that demonstrates design ability and creative thinking

Team player, willing to aid in other areas of the Marketing Department as needed

This position is based onsite and requires in-person work at the Dayton Freight corporate office

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or professional experience in graphic design, marketing, or communications

Experience designing for social media, digital marketing, or email campaigns

Basic experience with photography or video editing

Familiarity with website or digital content platforms

Experience preparing files for print production

Understanding of brand guidelines and visual identity systems
