About the Role The

Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA)

is the primary technical authority responsible for designing, governing, and delivering high‑scale enterprise solutions on the Pega platform. This role serves as the critical bridge between business strategy and technical execution, ensuring solutions are architected to be scalable, secure, and upgrade‑ready.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end

technical architecture and solution design

on the Pega platform

Make

strategic design and architectural decisions

beyond foundational system design

Conduct

requirements analysis

in collaboration with business and functional stakeholders

Translate business requirements into

features, user stories, and acceptance criteria

within Rally

Ensure adherence to

Pega Guardrails, best practices, and architectural standards

Provide

technical mentorship , oversight, and governance to development teams

Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, guiding platform strategy and solution roadmap decisions

Work Model: Hybrid We believe hybrid work is the way forward and strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this position requires

2–3 days per week onsite

at a client or Cognizant office in

Irving, TX .

Required Qualifications

Proven experience leading

Pega technical architecture and solution design

Strong background in

requirements analysis and enterprise application development

Hands‑on expertise creating

requirements, features, and user stories

within Rally (or similar tools)

Demonstrated ability to

enforce architectural governance and Pega Guardrails compliance

Experience mentoring development teams and providing

technical leadership and oversight

Preferred Qualifications

Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA)

certification or equivalent experience

Base Salary:

$160,000 – $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Incentive Compensation:

Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and plan terms
