The Senior Investment Strategist is responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio management functions in alignment with the fiduciary standards and client‑first principles of a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). This role oversees investment policy development, asset allocation, manager selection, and performance monitoring to ensure consistent, risk‑appropriate outcomes for clients. Working closely with executive leadership, advisors, and compliance, the Senior Investment Strategist ensures investment decisions support client objectives, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s long‑term growth strategy. This position serves as a key investment authority, guiding advisors with research‑driven insights and maintaining strong governance across all investment activities. Key Responsibilities
As part of the dedicated investment research team, the Senior Investment Strategist will assist with the following: Contribute to the development and implementation of investment philosophy, policies, and model portfolios in alignment with fiduciary standards Support asset allocation analysis, portfolio construction, and rebalancing processes Conduct investment research and due diligence on funds, managers, and investment vehicles Analyze portfolio performance and risk metrics to help ensure alignment with client objectives and investment guidelines In addition, the Senior Investment Strategist will contribute to key responsibilities including: Partner with compliance to ensure adherence to regulations, disclosures, and best interest standards Support financial advisors with investment guidance, education, and client‑facing insights Present investment strategy, performance, and market commentary to clients, advisors, and leadership Evaluate and manage relationships with custodians and external investment providers Mentor and develop investment and research team members, promoting a disciplined and client‑focused investment culture Qualifications
Proven experience in fundamental and quantitative analysis of publicly traded equities, with a focus on large‑cap stocks for portfolio construction purposes Strong ability to analyze macroeconomic trends, market data, and sector‑level indicators to inform tactical and strategic asset allocation decisions aligned with client investment objectives Demonstrated expertise in researching and underwriting traditional investment products, including passive ETFs, smart‑beta/factor‑based ETFs, active ETFs, and mutual funds across global equity, fixed income, and multi‑asset strategies Experience evaluating and monitoring fixed income securities and strategies (corporate bonds, municipals, treasuries, securitized products, etc.) is highly desirable Prior exposure to private markets (private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure) is a plus; willingness and ability to quickly develop proficiency in underwriting, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring of private market investments is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting investment recommendations and market updates clearly and confidently to internal teams, financial advisors, and clients via in‑person meetings, phone calls, and webinar presentations Highly collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and proactively identifies and pursues new investment opportunities Self‑starter with strong intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning in evolving markets and product landscapes Bachelor’s degree required; CFA charterholder (or progress toward CFA), CAIA, or advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance/Economics) strongly preferred Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant investment research, portfolio management support, or investment due‑diligence experience within a wealth management, RIA, family office, or asset management setting Why Join FAS Wealth Partners, Inc.
