Position Overview
Under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range marketing and communications strategies, leads, plans, recommends and executes initiatives concerning extremely complex and sensitive problems.
Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities
Resolves problems/issues applying advanced principles/theories/concepts and technologies.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
Determines and pursues sources of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes.
For assigned projects, recommends project budgets and forecasts anticipated budget spending.
Routinely provides expert consultation to senior leadership.
Coaches others in less senior positions.
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned (MD and below).
Qualifications
Master's Degree/equivalent in business, marketing, market research, communications, journalism, public relations, design, computer science, management information systems (MIS), finance or a quantitative field or related business discipline.
Five (5) years’ experience in marketing, advertising, institutional or corporate communications or related discipline.
Advanced organizational, quantitative and analytical skills.
Proven ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, effective marketing and communication strategies.
Excellent human relations and communication/presentation skills.
Location & Working Conditions This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN and Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
