Johnston, Iowa Full-time (on-site) Role Overview The Marketing Manager is responsible for owning and managing the marketing function for a defined group of Merit clients. This role acts as the strategic marketing lead for those businesses—partnering with general managers and company leadership to translate business goals into effective, well‑executed marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager oversees day‑to‑day marketing activity across assigned companies, coordinates deliverables with internal creative and digital resources, and ensures campaigns are executed on time, on budget, and aligned with each brand’s objectives. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, project management, and performance optimization. At Merit, you’ll work closely with leadership, sales, and operations teams across a selection of our client companies. Each business presents unique challenges and opportunities, making this a highly dynamic, hands‑on role with real impact. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to each client’s brand and business goals. Manage and delegate tasks to a team of creatives (designer, photographer/videographer, content specialist), ensuring projects progress smoothly and meet deadlines. Oversee client budgets, monitor spend across campaigns, and ensure projects stay on track and within budget. Manage multi‑channel campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, email and content marketing. Collaborate with creative team to ensure deliverables align with brand identity and marketing objectives. Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Stay current with industry trends in HVAC, interior design, cabinetry, and home remodeling. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in marketing, account management, or brand strategy. Background in, or strong knowledge of, interior design, home improvement, or related industries. Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools).
