The Opportunity
Are you a driven and self-motivated "hunter" who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Join Guide Book Publishing, a leader in the advertising industry since 1991, as a strategic Advertising Account Executive. Unlike typical sales roles, you will be assigned new projects every 2-3 weeks, enabling you to help local businesses across 24 states engage with targeted micro-communities through our premium direct-mail advertising.
How it Works
- The Workflow: Shift your focus frequently, targeting businesses within a 3-5 mile radius of designated congregations or community centers.
- The Method: Dedicate 70% of your time to high-energy outreach via phone, email, and video meetings; 20% to market research; and 10% to executing contracts.
- The Flexibility: This is a remote role, but you will need to return your materials to the Post Office and maintain communication with the Home Office.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify and secure new advertising partnerships to exceed production goals.
- Consultative Sales: Educate local business owners on the ROI of being featured in our community guides and directories.
- Relationship Management: Be the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring a first-class experience.
- Account Growth: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with larger accounts in your metro area.
- Administrative Precision: Accurately manage contracts and paperwork, and return assignment materials via USPS upon completion.

Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of sales experience preferred (or equivalent education).
- Mindset: A self-starter who excels in managing their own schedule without micromanagement.
- Skills: Proficient in Excel, scanning, email, and PDF management, with a strong capability to accurately calculate discounts and commissions.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal persuasion and professional written communication skills.
- Requirements: Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
