Customer Service Representative

HEXPOL Compounding, Huntingdon, TN, United States


To provide customer service, including receiving, entering, and updating orders, communicating order status to customers, gathering marketing and formula information, and answering customer questions, requests, and complaints.

Responsibilities

Manage all customer communications with speed and accuracy.

Build solid relationships with the customer base by providing order updates regularly.

Manage purchase orders from entry to completion.

Communicate any delays or order changes to the customer.

Prepare documentation of customer communications.

Coordinate with Schedulers any sudden changes or cut ins of emergency orders.

Create End of Day reports for Scheduling and Shipping departments.

Develop relationships with outside Sales Representatives concerning their customer base to better serve the customer.

Recognize customer order histories that may affect budget and planning.

Identify and contact customers that have not ordered within a time frame.

Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Five (5) years' related work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Two (2) years' experience in customer service in the manufacturing industry preferred.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).

Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment establishing priorities and managing multiple tasks and demands.

Good cooperation and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to interact well with all personality types.
