Summary/Objective Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

Essential Functions

Monitors cybersecurity operations across multiple systems and enclaves, ensuring vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation activities are actively tracked and communicated to leadership.

Identifies and assesses cybersecurity vulnerabilities using automated scanning tools and manual analysis methods; coordinate mitigation activities with technical teams.

Manage and monitor the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program for Department of Defense (DoD) information systems, ensuring timely awareness and remediation of identified risks.

Supports executive leadership by providing daily situational awareness of cybersecurity posture, risks, and operational priorities.

Develops concise, executive-level briefing materials translating complex cybersecurity issues into clear decision-ready information.

Tracks and analyzes cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, incident activity, and remediation efforts to inform leadership decisions.

Oversee the 2-letter Incident Response Program, to include drafting incident response policies and delivering annual training to organizational personnel.

Monitors and interprets Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) and other cybersecurity directives through the DoD Information Network (DODIN), ensuring leadership and operational teams understand required actions and compliance timelines.

Translates customer requirements into actionable plans, including milestone tracking, task prioritization, and progress reporting.

Supports development and review of Statements of Work (SOWs) related to cybersecurity initiatives and operational improvements.

Conducts quality assurance reviews of cybersecurity processes, technical assessments, and remediation efforts to ensure compliance with DoD and organizational standards.

Provide strategic reporting and recommendations to leadership regarding cybersecurity posture, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

Required Education and Experience

Education: Master’s in STEM / Cyber-related field or equivalent from an accredited institution with 5 Years of Cyber technical experience

Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's Degree in other than STEM / Cyber-related field with 8 years DoD cyber technical experience and knowledge demonstrated in missile defense related or other complex, large DoD programs / projects

IAT III Certification prior to accepting position

Must have technical certification or 3 years’ experience with McAfee Endpoint Security, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Splunk, and / or experience implementing network / enclave / system security toolsets with experience reviewing technical assessment reports and prioritizing technical corrective actions. Must achieve certification in required tools within 6 months of position acceptance

Additional capabilities (not required but supportive of the MDA mission) Experience in technical review / management / assessment of Software, Cloud, Firewalls, Network Defense, Ports, Protocols, and Services Management, and/or DevSecOps.
