Manager, Property Tax

– FandlGagnon, LLC www.fandlgagnon.com has an immediate opening for a Manager to focus on property tax consulting and advocacy preferably in Dallas, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Hoboken, NJ or Boston, MA; however, remote positions will be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
Manager level position requires applicants to be resourceful, have extensive property tax knowledge and experience, including appeals and expert testimony; real and personal property valuation knowledge; exceptional data management skills; an entrepreneurial spirit, and an ability to meet all deadlines, juggle changing priorities and exceed our clients’ expectations. Applicants will support the Property Tax Director to identify property tax saving opportunities within our portfolio of multi-state outsourcing engagements, handle audits and appeals and provide consulting to Fortune 500 and middle market companies. Applicants will have d aily interaction and correspondence with tax authorities, clients, and other team members.
Qualifications
: Requirements include an Undergraduate Degree in finance, economics, or accounting with 5+ years of property tax experience or a BA in Liberal Arts with 5+ plus years of increasing responsibility in the property tax field. Big 4, Mid-Tier Accounting, or National Consulting Firm experience a plus. Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, Word, and Excel) is required. APT or other property tax software experience is desired. Courses taken toward professional designations, such as CMI, MAI and/or ASA are preferred. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about joining our growing team. They will have experience handling property tax appeals, developing valuations, providing expert testimony, have strong organizational, entrepreneurial, data management, analytical, and research skills. Experience in negotiating with local taxing authorities is required. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, a must. Some travel required.
