Overview
Spectrum is seeking a Senior Information Technology & Cybersecurity Specialist to support a USAF customer. This candidate will analyze, manage, or perform tasks necessary to evaluate optimum security of network systems by assessing, verifying testing and implementation, of modifications to solve network problems and accomplish work processes in support of the AETC enterprise network, IT architecture, and associated network systems.
Additionally, provide IT engineering and technical services associated with Layer 2/3 of the Network OSI Model, Routing and Switching devices/equipment, Voice Over IP (VoIP), various Server operating systems, databases, web technologies, and in support of operationalizing and sustaining AETC A6C functions needed for the Force Development (FD) mission.
Also, the candidate will use most recent up-to-date DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and security policies in the security analysis and configuration of the above mentioned equipment.
Assist the AETC A3/6 Network Security Analysis & Training team (NSAT) in the execution evaluation process across twelve (12) site visits annually.
Assist the AETC A3/6 Cybersecurity Essentials Training Team Lead in the preparation and presentation of four (4) virtual training sessions.
This is not a remote position.
Position is contingent on contract award - estimated start date march 28, 2026.
Responsibilities
Contribute to evaluating and improving network security for the AETC enterprise network and related IT architecture. Perform analysis, testing, and implementation of modifications to solve network problems and support work processes.
Provide IT engineering and technical services related to network layers, routing/switching, VoIP, server OS, databases, web technologies, and supporting AETC A6C functions for the FD mission.
Apply DISA STIGs and security policies during security analysis and configuration of equipment.
Support the NSAT evaluation process with site visits and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of cybersecurity training sessions as directed by the Cybersecurity Essentials Training Team Lead.
Qualifications
Possess an active Secret Clearance
Possess a minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in Information Technology (IT) or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in core IT principles.
Be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Possess knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, server hardware and software platforms and related support tools that commensurate with a 7 Level, 1D7XX/X, Cyber Defense Operations IAW Air Force Enlisted Class Directory (AFECD) dated 31 July 2023 or Infrastructure Technology Support Specialist and Server Operating System (OS), Database, and Web application administrator.
Possess 8140 IAT Level II Certification IAW DOD MANUAL 8140.03 CYBERSPACE WORKFORCE QUALIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM prior to contract award and shall also meet the annual cybersecurity training requirements.
