About the role:
As an Audit Senior in Squire’s Audit & Assurance practice, you’ll be a trusted member of client engagement teams, working closely with both clients and firm leadership to deliver thoughtful, high‑quality audit services. Our mid‑market focus allows you to build meaningful, long‑term client relationships and gain hands‑on exposure across a variety of industries—rather than being siloed into a single task or client.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of key areas of audit engagements, support and mentor junior team members, and collaborate with managers and partners throughout the audit process. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and apply professional judgment while continuing to grow your technical skills and client‑service mindset.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements, building trust through clear communication and responsiveness
Plan and execute audit procedures, including internal controls, substantive testing, and SOC‑related work, under management guidance
Prepare and review audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards
Draft financial statements, disclosures, and audit reports for small and mid‑market clients
Collaborate closely with managers and partners to identify issues, discuss solutions, and ensure a smooth audit process
Mentor and support staff‑level auditors by providing guidance, feedback, and on‑the‑job training
Balance multiple engagements while maintaining a high standard of quality and client service
Qualifications:
2-3 years of public accounting experience, preferably with mid‑market clients and financial statement audits
Exposure to internal controls, SOC reporting, and audit testing strongly preferred
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, or an MBA with an accounting emphasis
CPA exam eligible and actively pursuing CPA licensure (preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards, with the ability to apply them in real‑world client situations
Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative, relationship‑focused approach to client service
Professional, positive, and personable—comfortable building relationships with clients and colleagues
Authorized to work in the United States
Job Status: Full-Time, Salaried

Work Arrangements: In‑office or Hybrid – majority in office
