
Parts & Accessories Product Management Intern

The Parts & Accessories (P&A) Product Management intern will support key business initiatives within the Mercury Marine Parts & Accessories business team in Fond du Lac, WI. The role includes conducting competitive market research, identifying gaps, developing dealer catalogs, creating product content, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams on daily operations of parts and oils categories.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support daily product management activities, including product collateral creation (website content, sell sheets), SKU rationalization, sales reporting, and product assortment analysis.
Conduct competitive analysis across product lines using the 5Ps: pricing, product, promotion, positioning, and placement.
Perform market assessments to identify growth opportunities and assist in business development initiatives.
Maintain and update cross‑reference lists, pricing data, and competitive positioning insights.
Update product images and descriptions to help dealers and retail customers accurately identify and purchase Mercury and Quicksilver parts.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, customers, and dealers to support product-related initiatives.
Analyze industry trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for product line enhancements.
Review current product offerings and present recommendations for improvement in a final presentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging effectively across all organizational levels.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining productive working relationships.
Proficiency in data analysis and management with ability to present findings clearly.
Project management experience or skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines (preferred).
Ability to collect, analyze, and derive insights from market and consumer data.
Minimum Qualifications
Student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or CPG retail.
Mechanical and business aptitude; familiarity with marine or powersports businesses preferred.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Hardworking, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated personality.
Working Conditions
Hybrid: at least 3 days a week onsite in Fond du Lac, WI.
Full 40‑hour work week.
Project work with supportive, collaborative environment.
Feedback and performance reviews throughout assignment.
Pay: $18.00 – $27.00 per hour (ranges based on year in school, credits, degree, job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, and geography).
