SHIK Consulting Group supports national organizations by helping them connect with communities through marketing outreach and customer engagement campaigns across the DC–Maryland area.
As our campaigns continue to expand, we are looking for motivated individuals who want to gain hands‑on experience in marketing, communications, and client engagement while working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to gain their first professional experience in marketing, outreach, and customer engagement.
No previous marketing experience is required. Full training is provided.
Role Overview As a Marketing & Outreach Assistant, you will work alongside an experienced team supporting campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and community engagement for our clients.
You will interact directly with members of the public, introduce client programs and services, and contribute to the success of ongoing marketing initiatives.
This role offers practical experience for individuals looking to build strong communication, marketing, and sales skills early in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Represent client organizations during outreach and marketing campaigns
Engage with customers and community members in professional conversations
Answer questions and provide clear campaign information
Assist interested individuals through registration or onboarding processes
Support the coordination and setup of outreach initiatives
Work collaboratively with the team to meet campaign engagement and sales goals
Maintain a professional and positive brand presence during all interactions

Comfortable speaking with new people in a public‑facing environment
Individuals who enjoy working in a team‑oriented setting
