a Marketing Design Intern

to join our

Comic Arts team

as part of our Summer Internship Program commencing on June 2, 2026.

Over the course of this immersive,

unpaid program (offered for academic credit only) , interns will gain meaningful insight into the world of book publishing while contributing to real projects that drive our business forward. You’ll learn alongside experienced professionals, develop practical skills in your area of interest, and participate in opportunities designed to broaden your understanding of the publishing industry. Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of publishing talent while fostering a passion for books, art, and culture.

We’re looking for a creative, detail‑oriented intern with a passion for graphic novels, comics, and the world of visual storytelling. As the Marketing Design Intern, you’ll collaborate directly with our Director of Publicity & Marketing and Publicity & Marketing Assistant to bring our graphic novel, manga, and illustrated book campaigns to life. Projects may include designing social media assets, digital and print advertisements, and Amazon A+ materials, as well as supporting publicity mailings and maintaining marketing and publicity grids. This internship provides valuable experience in digital marketing, design execution, and content development.

Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited academic institution. This internship is not open to recent graduates.

What You’d Be Doing

Learning and networking with ABRAMS employees, publishing professionals, and fellow interns during a summer internship experience for academic credit

Gaining hands‑on exposure to the publishing industry, from concept to finished product

Supporting research, project work, and day‑to‑day tasks within your assigned department

Contributing ideas and providing creative input on department projects

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and learning about various areas of the publishing business

Participating in workshops and discussions designed to deepen your understanding of publishing trends and processes

Receiving coaching, mentorship, and feedback from experienced ABRAMS professionals

We’re Looking For Someone Who

Has a passion for graphic novels, comics, and publishing

Passion for graphic design

Provide technical and creative support to the marketing and publicity team

Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Be familiar with digital tools such as MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite

Experience in graphic design for digital and print

Be able to collaborate effectively and also work independently on projects

Be receptive to feedback and able to meet deadlines

Highly Preferred Candidates Also Have

Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

Familiarity with social media platforms and general digital communication tools. Experience in analytics and content scheduling platforms is a bonus.

Internship Details

Compensation: For credit only; must be enrolled in a college program offering internship credit.

Location: New York, NY, and follows a hybrid schedule, working 25 hours per week.

Duration: June 2, 2026 - August 14, 2026
