Posting Context Statement Under direction from the Director of Housing and Residential Life, the Assistant Director of Residential Support is responsible for the overall management of student success initiatives, programs, and student interventions. Housing & Residence Life is an auxiliary enterprise and is funded solely by customers who use our services. Housing & Residence Life staff members are expected to demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Position Overview This position supports Housing and Resident Life students and staff. Duties will include:
Supervise, train and mentor Resident Directors
Collaborate with academic partners to develop strategies and programs
Guide the Residence Life staff retention efforts at the floor and hall level
Direct the efforts with the Intentional Interaction Model and the Living Learning Communities in collaboration with our academic partners
Life safety on call rotation
Other duties as assigned

Ability to work nonstandard business hours which may include evenings and weekends as needed
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles
Additional Preferred
Experience in a live in role in Housing and Residence Life
Master’s degree in Higher Ed, Counseling or other related educational fields
Experience with Residential Curriculum
Demonstrated experience with assessment and data analysisDemonstrated experience coordinating both large and small scale programs
Experience in supervising student staff
Demonstrated ability to foster student success
Skills in crisis management
