We are seeking a
RegisteredSeniorInterior Designer
to bring creative and effective interiors solutions to Aviation, Municipal/Civic, Higher Education, and Hospitality Projects, help build and grow the interiors department, and lead and mentor a team of interiors professionals.
Responsibilities
Support Principals with business development efforts.
Build and grow the interiors team within the office.
Lead and mentor junior interiors staff.
interpret and translate the needs and desires of a client as well as any architectural direction set forth into cohesive interior design solutions.
work collaboratively with the architecture director and architectural team to develop conceptual development of interior spaces for projects that are consistent and complementary with architectural aestheticand design.
Independently evaluate and select materials, develop finish palettes, consult with vendors, and inform project specifications
Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials
Oversee support team's production of design documents from concept through construction documentation
Participate in leading client meetings regarding interior design issues and maintain client contact
Participate in Construction Administration phase regarding interior design elements (e.g., responding to RFI’s, CO’s, shop drawing review, site visit, etc.)
Active involvement in development and implementation of design standards
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture is required
NCIDQ certificate is highly preferred
An established resume and portfolio in Interior Design experience preferably in municipal/civic, educational, and/or hospitality projects.
Proficiency in Revit.
10-12 years of professional interior design experience.
