
Sr. Manager, Public Affairs

Responsible for determining the legislative and policy agenda that create favorable operating conditions for Entergy. Researches, develops, plans, designs, maintains and implements policies and programs that enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, government and regulatory authorities, shareholders and employees. Delivers community relations messages through various media.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Frequently interface with legislators to promote positive legislation to further Entergy's policy positions and provide a favorable environment to operate within OpCo service territories.
Identify, monitor, analyze, and advocate for energy related legislation.
Maintaining close relationships with the Governor's administration, cabinet secretaries and all agencies that may exercise rulemaking authority that could influence any component of our business.
Promote positive relations with 3rd party advocates to ensure support of legislative strategies.
Strengthening Entergy's employee PAC growth so that it may continue to facilitate Public Affairs introductions and ongoing relationships with statewide, regional and local elected officials.
Develop and implement community relations and business development strategies.? Manage jurisdiction specific low income initiatives, grants and contributions participation.
Minimum Education Required
BA Law, BS Business or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience Required
5+ years
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Strong relationship building skills. Proven negotiation skills. Regulatory, legal, and public policy knowledge.
