SBA & USDA Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst
The SBA & USDA Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst is responsible for servicing and growing the existing SBA & USDA portfolio, as well as analyzing financial data on new and existing SBA & USDA loans in the assigned regions. Essential duties and responsibilities include performing annual review/credit analysis on all SBA and USDA loans assigned, preparing credit memo and Loan Offering Memorandums (LOM) for SBA loans, reviewing late pays/deficiency report and working with borrowers on work-outs and collections, updating the SBA Watch List for all assigned SBA and USDA loans, reviewing Colson Report and providing updates to Colson Reporting Agent in SBA Department, growing the current SBA Portfolio, reviewing new SBA loan requests in assigned regions, preparing loan modification requests for loan committee, SBA servicing, and secondary market, submitting loan mod packages after loan committee approval to SBA for approval, requesting release of collateral from SBA and secondary market consultant, presenting credit memos in SBA/ELC Loan Committees, preparing liquidation package for the SBA Repurchase Guaranty Center and the Banks attorney, working with SBA Liquidation Project Manager and SAD, preparing Form 1149 Transmittal for net proceeds from liquidation of collateral for defaulted loans, ordering third party reports (appraisals) for collateral values for LTV, reviewing SBA standard operating procedures (SOP) and taking webinars to keep up to date on SBA SOP changes, attending SBA & USDA Dept meetings/trainings and updating SBA Procedures for this role, monitoring insurances and collecting updated certificates, working closely with SBA & USDA Dept Portfolio Managers to assign projects & tasks, pulling weekly reports (cash items, delinquency report) and monitoring GL accounts, setting up ticklers for all SBA & USDA loans for annual review reminders, working closely with SBA examiners for annual audits, and completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. Education and experience: Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus seven years related experience and/or training and seven years related management experience. Communication skills: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Critical thinking skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
