This position provides hands‐on experience in a highly technical, rapidly growing industry where reliability, uptime, and system performance are paramount. The intern will assist in sales enablement, market intelligence, lead generation, customer outreach, and the development of marketing materials tailored to hyper-scale, colocation, and enterprise data center customers.This is an opportunity for a motivated student to gain practical exposure to the full sales and marketing cycle within a specialized engineering-focused environment.**Minimum Qualifications*** Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.* Strong interest in technology, energy infrastructure, or industrial equipment markets.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and marketing content.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools and marketing platforms is a plus.* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Curiosity and willingness to learn about power systems, generators, and the data center sector.* Eagerness to understand complex equipment and energy systems.* Ability to gather and interpret data to support sales and marketing strategies.* Works well with sales, engineering, and product teams.* Proactively takes on tasks and identifies opportunities for contribution.* Capable of tailoring messaging to both technical and non‐technical audiences.**Key Responsibilities****Marketing & Content Development*** Support the development of marketing materials, including product briefs, case studies, one‐pagers, and presentation decks specific to backup generator systems and data center infrastructure.* Assist in managing digital marketing efforts such as website updates, SEO research, social media posts, and email campaign preparation.* Contribute to the creation of technical sales collateral by simplifying complex engineering concepts into clear, customer‐friendly content.* Help maintain brand consistency across materials related to generator solutions, fuel systems, control systems, and critical power strategies.**Sales Enablement & Customer Support*** Conduct research on target customers in the data center ecosystem—hyperscale operators, colocation facilities, EPC firms, MEP engineers, and design consultants.* Assist in lead generation activities, including researching upcoming data center development projects and identifying key decision-makers.* Support internal teams in preparing quotes, collecting technical documentation, and organizing proposal materials.* Track customer interactions, maintain CRM data integrity, and support pipeline reporting.**Market Research & Analysis*** Analyze industry trends such as data center power demand, energy resiliency requirements, sustainability initiatives, and distributed generation technologies.* Gather intelligence on competitors in the generator and critical power space, including product offerings, market positioning, and project wins.* Summarize insights into digestible reports to support strategic decision-making by the sales and marketing teams.**By the end of the internship, the student will gain:*** A strong foundational understanding of backup power generator technologies and their role in data center operations.* Experience supporting sales cycles in a technical B2B environment.* Skills in creating technical marketing materials and conducting industry research.* Exposure to data center development trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscapes.**Physical Demands**: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
