
Wine On-Premise Key Account Manager

Position Summary The Wine On-Premise Key Account Manager manages key restaurant, bar, and hospitality accounts. This role is focused on menu placements, staff education, feature programming, and driving brand visibility within the on-premise channel.
Salary: depends on experience. Reports to Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities Account Management & Relationship Building
Manage and grow a focused portfolio of key on-premise accounts.
Build strong relationships with owners, beverage directors, general managers, and buyers.
Act as a strategic partner by understanding menu strategy, concept positioning, and profitability goals.
Distribution & Menu Placement
Identify opportunities to secure new placements by the glass, bottle, and feature lists.
Drive brand presence across wine lists and cocktail programs where applicable.
Ensure proper representation of priority brands within each account.
Programming & Brand Activation
Execute staff trainings, tastings, and menu education sessions.
Support and execute consumer events, wine dinners, and promotional activations.
Work closely with suppliers to coordinate market visits and promotional activity.
Sales Growth & Performance
Consistently grow volume, distribution, and visibility across assigned accounts.
Identify underperforming placements and implement corrective action plans.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper inventory and execution.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Wine industry experience with the ability to speak confidently about products.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Experience identifying sales opportunities and driving account growth.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
