Stock Packaging Customer Service Representative
The Stock Packaging Customer Service Representative's role is to provide exceptional service to customers placing orders via phone, fax, the internet, or in person. This is accomplished by assisting customers with problems, entering new orders, and maintaining relations with current and new customers. Position Prerequisites: High school diploma or equivalent Six months minimum previous experience in Customer Service, or equivalent combination of education and experience Previous computer experience is preferred but not necessary. This may include but is not limited to: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AS400, Internet (for rate shopping, tracking, & product research) Position Requirements: The ability to read, speak and understand the English language Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees Follow procedures, specifications and guidelines for the position Be able to work overtime as requested Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with internal and external customers Have good team working skills Exercise accuracy in all functions of the position Accept levels of responsibility and accountable commensurate with the position Have an appreciation for the demands of the business Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal communications Positive attitude Responsible Organized Flexible & adaptable Duties & responsibilities: Answer phones to assist customers with inquiries such as pricing, lead time, production information, errors and problem resolution Perform cross-selling when appropriate Gather information for custom quotes to send to estimators Enter orders in computer system Call customers with questions on orders Process sample requests for customers Initiate credit memos with supervisor approval Make follow up phone calls, such as trade show leads or sample requests May occasionally represent the Company at national trade shows Perform any additionally assigned duties as requested
