Piper Companies is seeking a

Rare Disease Account Executive

to support a leading organization within the biopharmaceutical industry. The

Rare Disease Account Executive

will be responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with physicians and clinics while driving engagement across a highly competitive rare disease therapeutic area. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced field professional with deep rare disease expertise and a strong background in buy‑and‑bill, specialty pharmacy, and HUB service models. Candidates must reside in Manhattan or Staten Island.

Responsibilities of the Rare Disease Account Executive

Build, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, clinic administrators, and practice staff across assigned territories.

Educate healthcare providers on disease state, product information, and patient support resources within the rare disease specialty market.

Navigate buy‑and‑bill medical benefit processes and support reimbursement discussions with practices.

Partner with Specialty Pharmacies and HUB services to ensure timely and efficient patient onboarding and therapy initiation.

Lead strategic account planning to maximize engagement and identify opportunities for improved patient access.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to align on field strategies and support overall patient services objectives.

Qualifications of the Rare Disease Account Executive

8+ years of field‑based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement within biopharmaceuticals or healthcare.

5+ years of experience operating in a competitive specialty market segment.

4+ years of dedicated Rare Disease experience within pharmaceuticals or biologics.

Strong knowledge of buy‑and‑bill medical benefit coverage, Specialty Pharmacy processes, and HUB delivery models.

Demonstrated ability to work directly with physicians, specialty clinics, and infusion centers.

Proven track record of driving outcomes in complex access and reimbursement environments.

Compensation for the Rare Disease Account Executive includes

Salary range: $170,000 - $210,000

Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
