NPRC currently owns 47 multifamily properties and 3 student housing properties. Prospect’s real estate credit strategy was launched in 2025 with a focus on preferred equity multifamily investments.
The Position Prospect is seeking
two
highly motivated
Real Estate Investment Analysts
to support the expansion of NPRC (equity) and PCRED (credit) originations. This role is designed for candidates with 1–2 years of real estate investment, investment banking, or commercial real estate experience who are eager to develop as investors and take on meaningful underwriting and analytical responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build detailed financial models and underwrite real estate equity and credit investments across various asset classes, with an emphasis on multifamily
Assist with transaction diligence and execution, including review of third-party reports, financing terms, and operating assumptions
Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentation materials for Investment Committee approval
Support evaluation of joint venture partners and transaction structuring
Assist with portfolio management assignments, including refinancings, dispositions, and ongoing asset monitoring
Conduct market research and analysis to support new originations initiatives
Other ad hoc assignments, including capital raising and research assignments
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience focused on equity or credit investments in the US real estate market, with a demonstrated focus on multifamily
Familiarity with and ability to produce Excel-based projection models
Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field preferred)
Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional, and personal endeavors
Experience with: multifamily transactions involving multi-tiered joint venture waterfalls or similar structures, deal diligence and vetting of potential operating partners, evaluating first mortgage financing alternatives from GSE, CMBS, and other sources
Knowledgeable about market trends in US real estate asset classes, especially multifamily real estate and GSE financing programs relating thereto
Strong verbal and written skills - incoming investment professionals are expected to interact every day with JV partners and senior management
Proactive team player with excellent multitasking skills and a positive attitude
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.
