Pay Transparency: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE)

Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing, Outreach, and Event Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in driving our mission to deliver impactful fitness and wellness programs and foster environments for social connection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. The Marketing, Outreach and Event Coordinator is responsible for generating new membership leads, creating engaging content, and building community.

Essential Functions

Collaborate with Active’s Global Marketing Team, Director of Sales and Site Management Team on initiatives to achieve new membership goals, corporate membership opportunities, and local partnerships

Support strategic marketing plans, promotional calendars, and collateral creation to promote the local health club and its programs

Provide marketing support across digital marketing platforms, including website, video, email and social media to drive sales and engagement

Manage the club’s social media accounts and respond to all comments, direct messages and inquiries

Draft and distribute Member monthly e-newsletter, member alerts and prospect emails

Organize and execute various events both in the club and in the community including member socials, community events, corporate events, etc.

Coordinate and staff local outreach events to promote the Club’s services and membership sales; promote events through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement.

Connect people in the broader community by creating sponsorship/partnership agreements and cultivating strategic cross-promotional relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organization.

Prepare monthly marketing and sales report collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data

Present membership information to prospective members and sell memberships when needed

Attend management meetings, trainings, and retreats

Other Functions

Be knowledgeable about all of the club’s programs and activities

Promote club services and activities

Perform routine maintenance of equipment

Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean

Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or community outreach, preferably in the health and wellness industry.

Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.

Proof of citizenship or legal status

Physical and Working Conditions

Prior to site opening: Remote work environment. Must have a physical work area that meets Active’s telecommuting safe work requirements.

After site opening: On‑site work only.

Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others

Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs

Fitness club environment

Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
