Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or associate degree in Electrical Engineering
OR relevant technical degree or electrical certification
3+ years of relevant and practical experience required, preferably in a plant-wide production system
Extensive technical knowledge of electrical systems, risks and safety equipment
Experience in equipment, processes and products in Automotive Production (preferred)
Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards (preferred)
Proven organizational skills with practical experience
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and coordinate the High Voltage Safety Organization
Provide professional consulting and services on behalf of the management team for all automotive high voltage safety subjects
Report out to the Management Team for High Voltage Safety training programs, along with HV problems and queries
Coordinate and conduct high voltage safety activities
Organize programs to ensure reliable execution of work processes at MBV related to automotive high voltage safety domain
Give directives in high voltage safety related matters
Interface to the High Voltage Safety Organization of Daimler AG in Germany and the U.S.
Attend Daimler AG High Voltage Organization safety meetings
Ensure dissemination and acknowledgement of relevant updates related to HV safety from Daimler AG and the CESC
Identify employees who require high voltage related training
Determine, evaluate and verify the training requirements for an employee
Authorize and document all the trainings in the automotive high voltage domain
Conduct HV1, HV2, HV3 and the annual safety refresher trainings for employees in the MBV facility
Organize high voltage safety trainings with external trainers
Compile instruction plans for tasks in high voltage domain
Perform advisory function in the selection of ESs and SHs
Supervise ES and SH
Conduct safety meetings with all ESs and SHs on a regular basis
Assess hazards, define and monitor corrective measures with the management team
Monitor regular maintenance
Verify and, when applicable, perform selection and purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for automotive high voltage related activities
Ensure that work instructions, checklists and other work documents are standardized throughout MBV
Implement and ensure high voltage safety in active projects
Escalate non‑compliance of safety rules
Ensure proper execution of audit plans and high voltage related processes
Support the CESC as needed, report to the CESC on a regular basis
