We at Smith Habilitation Services are dedicated to people with disabilities make meaningful connections in the community. Our goal is to make each outing something the client is interested in and looks forward to.
Role:
Meet one-on-one and talk to the client about your PCSP and your goals engaging with the community. Help the client connect with community resources based on their needs and interests. Help the client create friendships and relationships with community members. Help the client attend the community events and go to activities in your budget. Will take shuttle or bus with the client to community events. You may need to push the client in a wheelchair. You will have to collaborate with the client’s facility to make sure they can attend the activities. You will have to write an initial plan and 90 day reports on the client's progress. This is a person centered program. Each activity has to be tailored toward the client's interests. You will have to talk to the clients about they would like to do and help them plan it. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Experience working with people who have disabilities. Be willing to ride a shuttle with the client. Be willing to push a client if needed in the wheelchair. Positions Open:
One position in Tacoma WA and one position in Olympia WA. Pay:
$22/hr 20-30 hours per week. 401k matching after 1 year of employment. Paid Sick Time Paid PTO Paid Mental Health Days. Paid Floating Holiday.
