The Program Director is responsible for developing and coordinating program operations for multiple homes within the designated regional area to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for the individuals in our care. The director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of all professional services, has oversight of all financial components including budget adherence while holding high quality standards of care and habitation for a variety of community residential settings.

The Program Director reports directly to the Residential Operations Director. This position oversees our group homes in Sussex County NJ.

Salary: $75,000- 83,000

What Devereux Looks for in our Program Directors:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to residential and direct care staff with guidance, direction & mentorship regarding Devereux philosophies/program.
  • Coordinate medical, health, and safety oversight for individuals served.
  • Support crisis management, de-escalation, and emergency response.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and prepare for audits and inspections.
  • Manage Behavioral Support Plans and incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary team collaboration and communication with families, guardians, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.
  • Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
  • 5-7 years working within the field of human services, with at least five of those years in a supervisory role.
  • Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.
