Our firm has been retained to identify an Executive Vice President, B2B Technology for a leading public relations agency. This senior leadership role is designed for a seasoned agency executive with deep experience advising B2B technology companies and leading complex communications programs.
The EVP will oversee strategic communications initiatives for clients across the B2B technology landscape, including Cybersecurity, Adtech, Martech, Enterprise Software, SaaS, HR Tech, AI, etc. This individual will serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients while also playing a critical role in team leadership, operational oversight, and business growth.
Role Overview
The Executive Vice President will lead a portfolio of high-profile B2B technology clients, providing senior-level strategic counsel while ensuring consistent execution across integrated communications programs. The role requires a leader who is comfortable operating at the executive level with clients while remaining closely connected to the day-to-day work that drives successful outcomes.
This position sits at the intersection of client leadership, operational management, and new business development , requiring a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives at B2B technology companies.
- Lead the development and oversight of integrated communications strategies designed to elevate brand positioning, thought leadership, and media visibility.
- Maintain senior‑level client relationships and ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality work across multiple accounts.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and mentor account teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
- Oversee account operations, including resourcing, team structure, and overall program performance.
- Ensure strategic alignment between client objectives and program execution.
Hands‑On Engagement
- Remain comfortable engaging directly in the work when needed, including messaging development, media strategy, and program oversight.
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure strategic direction translates into effective day‑to‑day execution.
Business Development
- Contribute to agency growth through participation in new business development and client expansion opportunities.
- Support pitch development and senior‑level presentations to prospective clients.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced public relations leader with a strong background in agency environments and a deep understanding of the B2B technology sector.
- 15+ years of public relations experience , primarily within a PR agency setting.
- Extensive experience supporting B2B technology companies across sectors such as cybersecurity, enterprise technology, AI, adtech, or martech.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic counsel to senior client stakeholders and executive teams.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, client portfolios, and complex communications programs.
- Strong background in business development and contributing to agency growth.
- A leadership style that combines strategic vision with a willingness to remain engaged in the details of client work.
