Location: Washington, D.C. / Bethesda, MD area (preferred)
Travel: Approximately 50%
Reporting to: CBO & General Manager – North America
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales – North America to lead business development and sales efforts within the U.S. Navy market segment . This is a strategic, hunter-oriented role focused on driving adoption of the company’s TRL-9 tactical SATCOM solutions across defense programs and operational units.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with Department of Defense stakeholders, acquisition organizations, and major defense prime contractors while identifying and capturing opportunities for mission-critical communications solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of DoD procurement processes, defense technology sales cycles, and the operational needs of military end users. The ideal candidate combines a strategic mindset with hands‑on experience navigating complex defense acquisition environments and driving revenue growth across the defense sector.
Key Responsibilities
Market Ownership
- Own and lead all sales and business development activities across North America within the assigned segment (U.S. Navy ).
- Develop and execute a segment‑specific sales strategy to drive adoption of the company’s SATCOM and tactical communications solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across relevant defense programs, commands, and operational units.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and opportunity funnel aligned with long‑term revenue growth objectives.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Development
- Establish strong relationships with DoD program offices, operational stakeholders, and acquisition organizations .
- Support participation in industry events, demonstrations, and defense conferences to expand visibility within the defense ecosystem.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding mission requirements and aligning solutions with operational needs.
- Develop strategic relationships with defense primes and system integrators to expand program opportunities.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience into the U.S. Navy .
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing relationships with U.S. Navy .
- Track record of identifying, developing, and closing complex opportunities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling communications, SATCOM, RF, or tactical networking technologies .
- Previous military service or operational experience within the U.S. is a plus .
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to develop new opportunities and expand market presence.
- Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex defense organizations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Education & Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
