Document Classification Specialist
The Document Classification Specialist is responsible for monitoring the indexing queue for loan documentation scanned into the loan workflow system from both remote and on-site lending areas. This role involves reviewing, identifying, classifying, indexing and formatting documents received in the batches. These documents are utilized by all lending associates and operational areas of the bank that perform loan-related duties. The loan documents come from a large variety of loan sources, including consumer, small business, SBA, commercial, attorney-prepared loans, participation and syndication loans and many others. This process ensures documents are accurately saved into Trustmark's imaging system for all to view and use. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for maintaining existing loan documents housed within Trustmark's image system. Responsibilities
Review, identify, classify and reformat all loan documents received in the indexing queues via remote scanning by lending associates. Review, identity, classify, prepare for scanning and perform high-speed scanning of physical loan documents received in Loan Operations. Perform maintenance as requested and needed on existing imaged documents to provide updated information and adding notes, copying, reindexing, reformatting, merging/splitting or recategorization of documents. Thoroughly review of each loan document, page by page, to ensure proper identification. Classify documents based on predefined categories to ensure efficient retrieval and review of loan documents from the imaging system. Index each document with relevant loan data, such as, document type, account number, application ID number and borrower information. Review documents for proper formatting to ensure ease of viewing. Provide support for internal employees for classification, indexing and imaging questions and maintenance. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school education with 1 year of loan documentation experience Ability to recognize loan documents for consumer, commercial & SBA loans Ability to recognize loans documents for specialized loans such as participations, syndication, commitments, letter of credit, etc Ability to recognize loan documents for attorney prepared loans Ability to recognize other miscellaneous post-closing and operational documents such has recorded liens, maintenance, insurance, tickets, etc. Basic knowledge of document image storage systems Ability to work independently Ability to work as a team Basic computer skills Communication skills Customer Service skills Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
