STV currently has an opening in our NYC or Newark, NJ location for a Geotechnical Engineering Director to join our firm. **Responsibilities:** • Help develop and further Geotech’s practice in New England (temporary position to start with a potential to be permanent New England Manager). • Help identify, attract, and assist in recruiting additional tunneling and geotechnical staff. • Provide leadership, oversight and mentorship and management of tunneling and geotechnical staff. • Provide oversight, direction and leadership for underground projects and pursuits across the nation • Assist in developing strategic approach projects with heavy underground and geotechnical focus. • Serve as project/design manager on tunneling and underground projects. • Manage collaboration between various business lines and regions with the geotechnical and tunneling market. • Establishing and developing teaming relationships with other consulting firms as necessary. • Be part of go/no-go team reviews and provide technical oversight of proposal preparation. • Provide technical oversight, recommend design concepts, solutions, and methodologies. • Lead, manage, and deliver tunneling and underground engineering services on projects including geotechnical and tunneling engineering. **Qualifications:** • Minimum B.S. Degree in Civil engineering. Master’s degree in civil engineering, tunneling or geotechnical engineering. • Minimum of 20+ years of tunnel and underground related experience. • Professional registration in at least one state and ability to register in other states, as needed. • Thoroughly knowledgeable of geotechnical and tunnel design and construction, including geotechnical and foundation engineering, and tunneling methods and techniques. • Membership with relevant professional organizations and active participation in national tunneling and/or geotechnical associations. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and gain the support of others.Compensation Range:$275,880.98 - $306,534.43**STV offers the following benefits** • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
