Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven professional to assist with External Business Development and Admissions support for our dynamic 52-bed skilled nursing community. The role is part-time (20‑30 hours per week, rotating weekends) and involves increasing facility admissions, monitoring market trends, developing relationships with referral sources, engaging in outreach, supporting the admissions team, and covering for the Admissions Director on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase facility admissions and presence.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Conduct and participate in outreach, community events and networking opportunities.
  • Support the admissions team to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process and provide additional assistance as directed.
  • Serve as alternating weekend coverage for the Admissions Director to address potential admissions.
  • Participate in business development meetings and handle all communications as requested.
  • Responsible for outside marketing efforts to generate and increase professional referrals.
  • Responsible for calling on and developing new business relationships with professional referral networks.
  • Responsible for community outreach and education activities.
  • Conduct sales calls with current and potential referral sources and establish relationships that result in increasing referrals to the communities.
  • Responsible for cultivating productive relationships with business resources to generate repeat referrals.
  • Address civic organizations, businesses and service organizations representing the communities.
  • Conduct presentations for potential referral sources.
  • Promote the communities in a positive manner and effectively communicate Solvere Living values to professionals, residents, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Develop creative programs to identify and connect with key referral sources.
  • Participate in communities’ marketing education programs, communicate knowledge of their resources, and maintain a working knowledge of competitors.
  • Represent the face and brand of Solvere Living / communities in the local community.
  • Assist with implementation of marketing plans to achieve occupancy goals, identifying barriers to success.
  • Regularly meet goals, including time in outreach zone, supporting on‑site sales activity.
  • Maintain and ensure all external and internal outreach activity is timely and accurately entered in Sherpa.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with relevant operational and competitive updates of key competitor evaluations and price surveys semi‑annually.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely records, analysis and studies as required.
  • Collaborate with community team members regarding referrals, evaluations and marketing activities and events.
  • Attend seminars and conferences to promote communities.
  • Participate a minimum of 2 days at each community during reviews of prospects in the pipeline.
  • Participate in sales meetings, including but not limited to semi‑annual marketing meetings with Solvere.
  • Attend Stand‑Up meetings at each community providing updates on referral updates, census, projected move‑ins, tours, events, etc.
  • Participate in events on‑site as well as off‑site.
  • Follow all emergency procedures.
  • Understand all safety practices and procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • Be creative, energetic, enthusiastic, patient, flexible, encouraging, and team‑oriented.
  • Display patience, tact, enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Two years of sales and marketing experience in the senior industry or related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively.
  • Effective presenter with both large and small groups.
  • Excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • Cheerful personality.
  • Keen desire to serve seniors.
  • Five years sales/marketing experience with a proven track record.
  • Previous senior living experience preferred.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Creative approach to goals and problems.
  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other marketing‑related software.
  • Physically able to bend and reach.
  • Physically able to push, pull and lift up to 40‑50 pounds if necessary.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Spends at least 80% of time on travel to referral sources in market area.
