Overview
The Meriden Housing Authority (MHA) is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. Reporting directly to the Board of Commissioners, the Executive Director serves as the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer and leads the strategic, operational, and financial management of all public housing and federally assisted housing programs. This is a unique opportunity to guide a mission-driven organization committed to expanding affordable housing opportunities and strengthening the quality of life for residents throughout the City of Meriden.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, operational, and financial management of all public housing and federally assisted housing programs
- Oversee organizational operations, financial stewardship, capital redevelopment initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as the public face of the Authority with residents, government partners, HUD officials, and community stakeholders
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of leadership in affordable housing, community development, or public sector management. This position requires a dynamic leader with strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a commitment to advancing innovative housing solutions.
Salary range: $150,000–$175,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension (CT MERS), health, dental, and life insurance benefits.
