Overview

The IT Head of Dynamics 365 is responsible for owning the ERP strategy, roadmap, and functional delivery for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), with a strong focus on Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Management. This role serves as the primary bridge between Business, IT, Compliance/CSV, Data & Analytics, and AMS partners, ensuring ERP capabilities are aligned with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and long‑term enterprise strategy. The role includes hands‑on configuration, governance of complex enhancements, and leadership of validated change delivery in a GxP‑regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the D365 ERP Operations strategy and multi‑year roadmap
  • Translate business objectives into prioritized ERP initiatives and enhancements
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to manage demand, enhancements, and technical debt
  • Act as IT owner for D365 F&O system
  • Lead requirements gathering, fit‑gap analysis, and solution design
  • Configure D365 F&O for standard and moderately complex requirements
  • Govern functional design and prioritization of complex enhancements delivered by AMS partners
  • Serve as primary functional liaison to AMS partners
  • Review and approve functional designs and delivered solutions
  • Collaborate with internal IT on integrations, environments, security, and releases
  • Ensure all ERP changes follow formal GxP change control and validation processes
  • Support URS/FRS development, design reviews, and UAT activities
  • Partner with IT Compliance/CSV team to maintain validated environment
  • Provide functional oversight for Bartender label printing solutions
  • Support handheld and mobile devices used in Warehouse Management operations
  • Coordinate integrations between D365 and external operational systems
  • Provide functional guidance to Data & Analytics teams to define business KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements based on operational needs
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate process and performance requirements into actionable Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Ensure KPI definitions and reports are aligned with standardized D365 processes and validated data sources
  • Serve as a functional advisor on Microsoft analytics and AI capabilities, providing recommendations on when Power BI reporting is the appropriate solution versus when Microsoft AI–based solutions are better suited
  • Collaborate with Data, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure analytics and AI solutions support GxP, data integrity, and audit readiness where applicable
  • Support roadmap planning for advanced analytics, insights, and AI‑enabled capabilities tied to ERP data
  • Act as primary communication point between Business, IT, Compliance/CSV, Data teams, and AMS partners
  • Ensure that GxP relevant changes follow formal change control with documented impact assessments
  • Establish and lead a Business Process Owner (BPO) / Subject Matter Expert (SME) community
  • Ensure training, SOPs, and work instructions are updated prior to validated releases
  • Manage IT team responsible for health of D365 system and the associated environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years ERP experience with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O expertise
  • Deep knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
  • Mandatory GxP / regulated manufacturing experience
  • Hands‑on D365 configuration experience
  • Experience working with Power BI, business KPIs, and analytics use cases
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft AI capabilities relevant to ERP and analytics
  • Experience with Bartender and WMS handheld solutions
  • Proven experience managing AMS partners
