Compliance And Privacy Coordinator
Supports and advances the corporate responsibility and compliance program of Owensboro Health by coordinating complex compliance activities, conducting high level investigations, monitoring and audit initiatives, and guiding leaders and operational partners in understanding regulatory requirements. Collaborates closely with the Corporate Compliance Officer and Manager of Compliance to promote ethical conduct, ensure adherence to regulatory expectations, and strengthen a culture of integrity across the organization. Assists the Manager of Compliance and Corporate Compliance Officer in administering the Corporate Compliance Program through development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and program initiatives. Supports departmental goals and participates in strategic planning for compliance related program enhancements. Ensures issues are tracked, investigated, monitored, and resolved in accordance with internal policy and regulatory expectations. Conducts and coordinates investigation activities with departments, providers, contractors, and external partners as appropriate. Coordinates components of the annual Compliance Program Work Plan, including tracking progress, collecting data, and preparing status updates for leadership. Leads assigned aspects of the Compliance Risk Assessment, including identification, analysis, prioritization, and documentation of organizational compliance risks. Monitors activities to evaluate adherence to policies, regulations, and corrective action commitments. Documents findings, identifies trends, and recommends process or policy changes to mitigate risk. Tracks corrective action plans, ensures timely follow up, and escalates unresolved issues to the Manager of Compliance. Conducts compliance rounding in hospitals, clinics, and operational areas to observe practices, engage staff, identify risks, and enhance visibility of the Compliance Program. Supports the Compliance Liaison Program by contributing to training, communication, and ongoing engagement with liaison members. Assists in developing and delivering compliance education, presentations, and training materials while providing consultative guidance to leaders, medical staff, and employees on regulatory requirements and risk?mitigation strategies. Serves as a subject?matter expert on assigned compliance topics, collaborating with Legal, HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, and clinical departments to support proactive compliance practices. Prepares detailed reports, dashboards, and documentation of investigations, monitoring activities, and program performance in accordance with organizational standards. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. CHC- Certified Healthcare Compliance required upon hire.
