Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Managing Director to lead and expand our Financial Advisory Services (FAS) within the Office of the CFO Accounting Advisory practice. This role will specialize in advising clients on complex technical accounting matters and financial instruments, with a strong emphasis on the private equity industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks, and will serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs and finance leaders navigating accounting complexities, transactions, and emerging financial technologies.

What You Will Do

  • Lead engagements from technical accounting support, and audit, transaction, and IPO readiness, to supporting the Office of the CFO on an interim basis, and assist with the design and enhanced performance of financial operations.
  • Positively impact clients’ financial statements, profitability, and business operations.
  • Penetrate client engagements in the firm’s primary target industries.
  • Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and objectives.
  • Play an active role in providing valuable guidance and business recommendations.
  • Deliver business insight through thoughtful review, analysis, and discussion.
  • Manage cross‑functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure client profitability targets are met.
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new repeat referral sources, clients, projects, and revenue.
  • Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
  • Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a specialized field such as accounting, business, finance or related field – Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA required, CFA or other relevant certifications a plus.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience and/or technical accounting advisory, Big 4 or top‑tier consulting preferred.
  • Industry experience in private equity.
  • Proven track record of leading complex engagements and managing senior client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high‑impact solutions in fast‑paced environments.
  • Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends, as well as the ability to travel overnight, as necessary.

Compensation range: $215,950 to $409,420. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
