A growing global manufacturer of medical technology products is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead operations at one of its largest production facilities.

This role is responsible for leading manufacturing operations, developing plant leadership, and improving operational performance across a complex production environment.

The organization is entering a significant growth phase and is investing in leadership that can elevate operational execution while preparing the facility for expanded demand.

Position Overview

The Director of Manufacturing will serve as a senior leader within the facility and oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations including production, maintenance, and operational support functions.

The individual in this role will be responsible for improving operational performance, strengthening leadership capabilities across the plant, and implementing systems that support productivity, quality, and delivery performance.

This position requires a hands‑on leader who can operate effectively in a highly regulated manufacturing environment while developing the management team and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all manufacturing operations within the facility, including production, maintenance, and operational support functions
  • Develop and mentor plant leadership to strengthen operational execution and accountability
  • Implement systems and processes that improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing and process optimization
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics such as quality performance, delivery performance, and production output
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to support operational goals and product delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards associated with regulated manufacturing environments
  • Contribute to strategic planning for facility growth and operational scalability

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manufacturing leader who has successfully led complex operations in highly regulated industries.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience improving plant performance while developing strong leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Significant leadership experience in manufacturing operations
  • Experience leading large manufacturing teams within complex production environments
  • Background in medical device manufacturing or another highly regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or life sciences
  • Demonstrated experience implementing operational improvements and Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Experience operating in environments with strict quality and regulatory standards
  • Ability to lead change and build operational structure within growing organizations

Compensation

Salary range: $170,000 – $250,000

Additional performance-based incentives may apply.
